Rarely have we screened a movie that is as critically acclaimed and appreciated by audiences as Felony…it’s got a 94% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, with good reason. It’s a layered, tense thriller that kicks off as a cop (Joel Edgerton), celebrating a big drug bust, makes the unfortunate decision to drive home after too many beers. He accidentally hits a newspaper boy, and when the ambulance arrives, denies all involvement. His boss (Tom Wilkinson) covers for him, but the department’s newbie (Jai Courtney) suspects something isn’t right and is soon conducting his own investigation. Things get complicated fast, as the boy remains in a coma, and all involved are desperate to resolve the situation, even while they put up a front in their daily lives.
