In conjunction with World Aids Day, December 1, 2014, Cinema Detroit is pleased to present 25 To Life, an engrossing documentary about the effect of HIV on one young man’s life.
25 To Life is a startlingly fresh look at HIV and AIDS in America. It tackles the tough social issues of sex, race and manhood, while exploring the pains and triumphs of William Brawner, who contracted HIV as a child via blood transfusion but kept his status a secret for over 25 years. Brawner seeks redemption from his promiscuous past as he embarks on a new phase of life with his wife who is HIV-negative. We journey with him and his family as he struggles to carve out an open and honest future.
