UPDATE: What’s it like working on a movie in Detroit with Ryan Gosling? Find out at Cinema Detroit in Midtown this Saturday, May 2, when LOST RIVER’s location manager George Constas and production manager Christina Varotsis will join us for Q & As after the 7:00 p.m. and before the 9:45 p.m. shows. George Constas is a location manager and producer, known for LOST RIVER, ONLY LOVERS LEFT ALIVE (2013), RED DAWN (2012), FREAKY DEAKY (2012), and REAL STEEL (2011), among other credits. Christina Varotsis is a production manager and producer. In addition to LOST RIVER, her work has included Showtime TV’s SHAMELESS, THE RITE (2011), A VERY HAROLD & KUMAR 3D CHRISTMAS (2011) and BROTHER 2 (2000).

Lost River is Ryan Gosling’s directorial debut feature. It was filmed in the City of Detroit in spring/summer 2013 and stars Christina Hendricks, Iain De Caestecker, Saoirse Ronan, Matt Smith, Ben Mendelsohn and Eva Mendes. See it on the big screen as it was meant to be seen, at one of the cast and crew’s hangouts.
