Double feature from local filmmaker Barbara Troy screens Sept. 30

Join us for some locally-made movies on the big screen as we present a double feature from Detroit filmmaker Barbara Troy: the Detroit premiere of Grave plus Ticket to the Circus.

We are pleased to present the Detroit premiere of Grave, Troy’s latest feature, a dark romantic comedy in which two college buddies get involved in grave robbery and murder while working summer jobs at a cemetery. It was filmed in Toledo with a mostly-Detroit cast and crew and written by former Detroiter Gil McRipley.
Running time 88 min.

In Ticket to the Circus, two women go on the lam for a murder they didn’t commit, becoming lovers — and Detroit’s Most Wanted. “Thelma and Louise, only younger and gayer.” This one was shot in and around Detroit.
Running time 95 min.
